The classic Uncle Tupelo album No Depression is about to get a reissue on Legacy Recordings. Aptly titled No Depression: Legacy Edition, the double disc includes “previously unavailable demos, live tracks, and other rarities.” They're also eyeing Record Store Day on Black Friday with a 7" single of “I Wanna Be Your Dog” and “Commotion.”

Check out the reworked version of I Got Drunk below via Rolling Stone, who said “This take on ‘I Got Drunk’ showcases the blend of roots influences and punk instincts that helped anchor alt-country in the early Nineties. The song starts with a fast-paced acoustic intro that gives way to the overdriven guitar riff and pummeling drums that carry through the small-town, hard-drinking lament.”

The press release digs into further detail on the No Depression reissue by adding “New mastering by veteran engineer Vic Anesini at New York City’s Battery Mastering Studios, No Depression: Legacy Edition sees the original classic album augmented by twenty-two extraordinary extras, including for the first time on CD, 1989’s legendary Not Forever, Just For Now demo tape.”
