The wait is about to come to an end, as the leading music service Deezer is reported to be launching its streaming music service in America in the start of next year according to Digital Music News. From January 2014 onwards, American music lovers will not have to see the annoying “Deezer’s music services are not yet available in your country” message anymore because Deezer, along with its collection of over 30 million tracks of streaming music is coming to USA in the very start of next year.
According to some sources, Deezer will enter the American market by partnering with one of the leading mobile carriers, probably Verizon Wireless. Similarly, some sources have also informed that Deezer might partner up with Microsoft in order to make a remarkable entrance in the American market. Although YouTube Music is expected to launch by Christmas this year as well, but the excitement for long awaited Deezer could be bigger.
“While a report at Digital Music News claims Deezer will launch in January, the source believes it would come later because of Deezer's need to launch with a telecommunications partner in tow,” is what Billboard added to the developing story.
Deezer will have to compete with Spotify in all aspects in order to gain market share. Spotify has been serving American music lovers for a long time now and has gained popularity, but despite that, the excitement of Deezer coming to the US is enough of a motivational factor for the Deezer team. Music lovers in the whole of US had been impatiently waiting for a good news from Deezer, and now that it has been confirmed, Spotify will have to come up with some new strategies in order to compete with the upcoming streaming music service.
