In the aftermath of the sad passing of Lou Reed somes the news of an autobiography being written by Rolling Stone writer Anthony DeCurtis. Billboard wrote that publishing company “Little, Brown and Co. announced Thursday that it had acquired a book by DeCurtis. The writer interviewed Reed numerous times and wrote the liner notes for an anthology of songs by the group Reed led in the 1960s, the Velvet Underground.”
A memorial service happend on Nov. 14 in New York, announced via the Lou Reed Facebook and it said “A gathering open to the public - no speeches. no live performances, just Lou's voice, guitar music & songs - playing the recordings selected by his family and friends.”
Lou Reed, founding member of the legendary Velvet Underground and music icon of his own right, passed away at the end of October. The news was broke by Rolling Stone, and the cause of death turned out to be liver failure.
