New Music From Phantogram, & A New Album

OK, second best news ever: more new music is on the way from trip-hop-psych-pop-indie-pop band Phantogram in the form of a full-length album. We knew this was coming as the band made it public earlier this year when they released the Phantogram EP. But Pitchfork is reporting today that the new album is called Voices, and will be released on Republic Records. Check out the first track available below with the song “Fall In Love.”

It's always interesting to listen to bands as they emerge from underground cult status to more well-known, recognized bands on the world stage. How do they go through the process? Some become overconfident and ego-driven, fueled by good media praise and a growing audience. Others recoil in fear, burdened by the stress of expectations. Phantogram seems to be shaking off both and staying true to evolving their vision.
