The new Burial EP Rival Dealer is available this week, and he just dropped comments over the weekend about what went into the album. Speaking on Mary Anne Hobbs BBC 6Music show by via text message, he went into a little more detail about the motivation behind the concept of the album.

"I put my heart into the new EP, I hope someone likes it. I wanted the tunes to be anti-bullying tunes that could maybe help someone to believe in themselves, to not be afraid, and to not give up, and to know that someone out there cares and is looking out for them. So it's like an angel's spell to protect them against the unkind people, the dark times, and the self-doubts."

Rival Dealer is the follow-up release to the Truant/Rough Sleeper' EP from 2012. His first album, the self-titled Burial. was released in 2006.

The Rival Dealer EP is availble for streaming at the Hyperdub website, or check out the title track below.
