Interpol are definitely on the rebound. They're heavy on their first new album since 2010, and they've just announced a set of tour dates, so it looks likely that the new Interpol album might be close to be being done (if not already finished recording). The shows include a lot European and US music festival dates, including Governors Ball Music Festival in New York, the Hurricane Festival and the Southside Festival in Germany, Optimus Alive in Portugal and All Tomorrow's Parties Iceland.
Daniel Kessler spoke with XFM while Interpol were in the UK working on the album, saying "We currently find ourselves in the UK finishing the new album so it feels only appropriate to announce our first UK dates of 2014 from here."
"We're pleased to say that we'll be headlining this year's NME Awards Tour. We had a great time playing the Awards Tour in 2003 and we're very much looking forward to our return. It should be a lot of fun."
