Bob Odenkirk is no stranger to the indie rock world. He was in a video for the Black Keys with the announcement of El Camino, now he's making news by announcing the arrival of a new Afghan Whigs album. Pitchfork is reporting that the album's name is Do To The Beast, which will arrive on the band's former home of Sub Pop Records on Apr. 14/15.
Although the most recent Afghan Whigs albums have been issued through Elektra and Columbia Records, the return to Sub Pop is a familiar one, frontman Greg Dulli has been releasing his solo work on there as well as Twilight Singers and the Gutter Twins.
The band has done various offshoot songs and performances over the hiatus years, including performing with Usher at SXSW or their covers of “Lovecrimes” by Frank Ocean and “See And Don’t See” by Marie “Queenie” Lyons.
