The Dandy Warhols are doing their first-ever live album, and they're doing it up right. First off, it's a performance of their classic album Thirteen tales of Urban Bohemia. Second off, it's the thirteenth anniversary of the album. Third: it was done during 2013, during a year long tour they were calling the 13/13/13 tour. Mind. Blown.
"Recorded in June 2013 at Portland's Wonder Ballroom, Thirteen Tales From Urban Bohemia Live at the Wonder documents The Dandy Warhols' 13/13/13 Tour - a year long celebration of the 13th anniversary of (arguably) our most popular record, Thirteen Tales From Urban Bohemia. We run through every track from Thirteen Tales in order: starting with the layers of e-bow, jangle, and trumpet on "Godless" all the way through to the sparse hop-a-long epic "The Gospel,"" reads the announcement from the band.
It was recorded at the Wonder Ballroom in Portland, and they're calling the album Thirteen Tales From Urban Bohemia Live at the Wonder. It'll be available on March 14 via the band’s own Beat The World Records.
