Glasgow, Scotland indie rock band Paws hit the KEXP studios in Seattle for a full-on live performance. The songs here are "Catherine 1956," "Tongues," "Let's All Let Go" and "Owl's Talons Clenching My Heart." There's lots of energy -- the bands performance is super-tight and well-rehearsed -- they also talk over their cool album art for their album Cokefloat! Their sound is largely lo-fi, garage rock, alternative sounds, it blends together seamlessly.
According to their label FatCat Records, they got their start by "opening for Dum Dum Girls in Glasgow on a sold out bill, the band began to establish a strong presence in the city and the surrounding area, with news quickly travelling around Scotland. The buzz surrounding the band was aided by a batch of self-recorded tracks, released on a DIY cassette label Phillip had started called Cath Records, and cult Edinburgh-based indie label Gerry Loves Records got in touch to release the band’s debut 7”."
