Dan Bejar’s Destroyer. The band started as a late-night conversation in a Vancouver bar and eventually became a reality. Each Destroyer album has grown more confident and diverse in influences, culminating the most recent release Kaputt. Bejar’s early influences include 80s new wave like New Order,  then Jesus and Mary Chain, then Manchester music, then shoegaze, then rave. As the nineties came in, he turned his attention to indie rock bands like Guided By Voices and Pavement. It's no surprise then, that Dan Bejar always keeps us guessing and the music interesting. Check out an interview with Dan set amongst the music of Destroyer.
