The Noise Pop
Music Festival is a torch bearer of noisy
indie pop, and this will be the 22nd Noise Pop Music Festival. It started in 1993 as a one night deal
with 5 bands in a small club, but has
grown over time to include multiple days,
multiple locations, film screenings, panels,
and art. Noise Pop bands have included the Flaming
Lips doing their boombox experiment, Frank
Black and the Catholics doing Pixies songs,
Death Cab For Cutie, 16 Deluxe, and more. As far as evetnts in the Bay area go, Noise Pop is one of the finest. Get a hotel in San Francisco and camp out for the best week of your life.
