The enterprising people at Pitchfork decided that after curating Intonation Festival and doing a SXSW showcase, their next big move would be to create their own festival. Aptly naming it the Pitchfork Festival to avoid confusion over who owns the joint, they moved on to create a highly regarded music festival. On Twitter it often goes by #pitchforkfest.
